Peanut butter was the first flavor I tested when starting Frankie’s. And I can safely say—it’s the reason I kept going.

As someone who grew up on PB&Js, there was a lot at stake when making this flavor. But it did not disappoint. I mean, it’s hard to mess up peanut butter ice cream...But when you look at name-brand products, you realize it’s not impossible.

Guys, why are we adding peanut oil to PEANUT BUTTER ice cream?

Peanuts already contain a significant amount of oil—about 40–50% of their weight. When ground, the mechanical action releases this oil naturally. Added oils and artificial flavors? Just offensive to the peanut.
